Nagato City Tawarayama, Annual Hot Springs Festival!
The Tawarayama Hot Springs Festival will be held on April 19 (Sat.) and 20 (Sun.), 2025, in the Tawarayama hot springs resort in Nagato City.
Tawarayama Onsen has been a popular therapeutic hot spring since the Edo period. In addition to a kabuki performance of "Sanbaso," Japanese drums, a ding-dong parade, and a children's portable shrine, visitors can enjoy food and drink at food stalls in the hot spring resort town, which still retains the atmosphere of those days. Also, on Saturday, April 19, the "Hakusaru no Yu" (White Monkey's Hot Spring) will be open all day for free (open from 10:00 to 21:00). We hope to see you there.
