A day to think about and be in touch with the earth

Earth Day Mukatsuku" was held today (Saturday, April 26, 2025) at the "Aburaya Youth Nature House" in the Aburaya district of Nagato City.

The venue was filled with many kitchen cars and booths for hands-on activities, and a marché was held on a special stage where songs, instrumental performances, hula and Tahitian dance were performed. On the beach, the Aburatani Youth Nature House held a sea kayaking experience, and there were many ways for both children and adults to interact with and enjoy nature.

This event is held around the world under the theme of "a day to think about the earth and the environment and appreciate the beautiful natural environment," and is organized by local volunteers in Nagato City with the hope of "leaving the natural environment in Nagato and Mukouzugu in a better state for the next generation.

The Marche

The Marche venue was crowded with many kitchen cars. When eating and drinking, visitors brought their own chopsticks and tableware, and reused items were provided. Leftover food went to compost. Environmentally friendly dishwashing detergents were also provided.

Sea kayak experience

After a lecture by the instructor on how to paddle a sea kayak, the participants went out to the sea. Participants enjoyed the sea of Aburaya, Nagato City.

The venue was filled with a pleasant sea breeze and relaxing time.
