JR San-in Line x Bodybuilding “Muscle Train” was held! (11/10)

Bodybuilding contest on the train

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, a "Muscle Train" was held on the JR San'in Line (between Shimonoseki Station and Kogushi Station, and between Nagato City Station and Masuda Station), where a bodybuilding contest was held on the train.
This article reports on the event between Nagato City Station and Masuda Station.

Departure from JR Nagato City Station

The Muscle Train departs from JR Nagato City Station at 13:03.
The station building was crowded with participants from around 12:30 pm.
When the train entered the platform, everyone boarded one after another.

At 13:03, the train departs JR Nagato City Station as scheduled.
In the car, there was an introduction of the competitors in the bodybuilding contest and an explanation of how to have fun and get excited.

Player Performance

In this event, one bodybuilder will board the train at each of Nagato Misumi, Mimi, Higashi Hagi, and Nagato Oi Stations after leaving Nagato City Station.
The first bodybuilder, Riku Bozama (玻座真 陸) was pumped up on the platform before boarding at Nagato Misumi Station.

The car was filled with cheers when Makoto Boza appeared on stage.
The players proceed through the car, posing in front of each seat.

The second player to appear at the Mimi station was Hirofumi Soya!

Next, at the Higashi Hagi station, we have Chikara Ibuki!

Finally, Shigeo Sato, who graced the Muscle Train poster, made an appearance from Nagato Oi Station.
Passengers looked out the window and eagerly awaited his appearance.

This contest was voted by passengers.

Aiko Kosao also made a guest appearance. She promoted the World Championships, in which these athletes will compete.

Special "Muscle Station Bento

After the players finished their performance, Muscle Ekiben were handed out to all passengers.
This ekiben is made with specialties from the cities and towns along the line, with an emphasis on protein.

Commemorative photo time with the train window in the background

There was also a commemorative photo opportunity to take pictures of the riders with the train windows in the background while traveling over the Sogo River Bridge, a scenic point in Abu-cho.
Afterwards, a commemorative photo was taken with each participant and the bodybuilders.

All members of the group took a commemorative photo at Masuda Station, the last stop of the tour.

Arrived at the last stop, Masuda Station, a little after 3:00 p.m.
After disembarkation, there was a commemorative photo of all the participants. 

Although the event took about two hours from Nagato City Station, it was a lively one from start to finish, and everyone left very satisfied.
