Why don't you warm up at Nagato Yuzukichi-yu, a winter tradition in Nagato?

On December 20 (Fri.) and 21 (Sat.), 2024, "Nagato Yuzukichi no Yu" will be held at "Otoshin River River Park Ashiyu" and "Otosore Ashiyu" in the Nagato Yumoto hot spring resort area (both free).

This is an annual event held by Nagato City, following the custom of yuzu yuzu baths held on the winter solstice, and uses Nagato Yuzukichi, a specialty of the city.

Nagato Yuzukichi" is a fragrant citrus fruit with a refreshing aroma and mild acidity. The "Nagato Yuzukichi" used in this yuzu bath is called "Nagato Yuzukichi Komachi" or "Kikinaru Nagato Yuzukichi" because it matures from summer to fall and turns a bright yellow color.
