Local Children Receive “Children’s Yudo Class” at Onyu, Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring

Learn "Yudo" with Kundo Koyama, the first Iemoto of Yudo

On Monday, January 15, 2024, the "Children's Yudo Class" was held at Onyu, Nagato Yumoto Onsen.

This event was held with the cooperation of the Yudo Culture Promotion Association, and local elementary school students were given a lecture on "Yudo" = "the way of mankind" learned from the manners and culture associated with the "bath. The children will receive a lecture on "Yudo," or the "Way of Man" learned from the manners and culture associated with bathing.

First, Mr. Kundo Koyama, known for producing the popular character "Kumamon" and the founder of the Yudo Culture Promotion Association as "the first Iemoto of Yudo," appeared in the hall. He explained about "Yudo" and shared his thoughts.

Everyone performed the Gassho gesture of gratitude while soaking in the hot water.

Today everyone was taught "gratitude for hot springs and people related to hot springs". I hope this feeling will spread from the hot springs area to the whole town!
