Learn about "Misuzu's Point of View"
On Saturday, February 18, Setsuo Yazaki, director of the Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum, gave a lecture at Onyu, a drop-in hot spring bath in Nagato Onsen.
This was part of the "Onshinagawa Utaakari 2023" event, a lighting-up event in the hot spring resort area that will run through February 19 (Sun.). The event was made possible through a connection with this event, which expresses the world of the poem by "Misuzu Kaneko," a children's song poet from the Senzaki area.
In the lecture, Ms. Yazaki, who discovered and popularized Ms. Misuzu's poems, will talk about the "appeal of Misuzu's works.

Ms. Yazaki described Ms. Misuzu's poems as "expressing all the joys and sorrows of life and changing the way we look at things," and urged the audience to "appreciate the climate of Nagato Senzaki that nurtured her spirit.
