Area Manager talks about "Tourism Town Development

The "Onshinagawa Utaakari 2023" lighting event is currently being held in the Nagato Yumoto hot spring resort area.

Today, February 11 (Sat.), a talk event was held by Hayato Kimura, Area Manager of Nagato Yumoto Onsen Machi Co.

The venue is Onyu, a drop-in hot spring located in the center of the hot spring resort area.

The theme of the talk will be about the "tourism town development" that the spa town has walked through after its renewal in the spring of 2020.

The lecture will include a discussion of the "new way of tourism" and "what we value at Utaakari," and will be accompanied by materials to illustrate the main points of the lecture.

About "Utaakari," a light-up event themed on a poem by Nagato-born children's poet Misuzu Kaneko, Ms. Kimura told visitors about her thoughts on the event, saying, "I want to make this a place that brings Misuzu's kind heart to those who come to visit.

The "Otoshinagawa Utaakari 2023," a winter festival in Nagato Yumoto Onsen, is still open (until February 19 [Sunday]).
