Yamaguchi Prefecture Nagato City Fair” at Hakata Hankyu (~2/21)

Enjoy food and sightseeing in Yamaguchi and Nagato in Fukuoka

The "Yamaguchi Prefecture Nagato City Fair" is currently being held at the food event space on the basement floor of Hakata Hankyu in Fukuoka City (until February 21 [Tuesday]).

 The booth will sell products directly shipped from Senza Kitchen, a roadside station in Nagato City, as well as other items of Nagato's pride and joy.

In one corner of the booth, "Mukatsuku," a "must-see" mobile gelato store that opens in various locations in Yamaguchi Prefecture, mainly on the Mukatsuku Peninsula in Nagato City, made its first appearance in Fukuoka. We were able to try gelato made with local ingredients.

A lottery will also be held at the venue. The winners will receive a pair of "Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring Resort Accommodation Tickets (worth 24,000 yen)" and "Express Bus Otosore-go Pair Tickets (worth 14,000 yen)".
Only one entry per person per day (questionnaire must be filled out).

Some of the visitors to the booth said they had lived in Nagato before, and there were scenes of lively Nagato talk between the staff and visitors.

In addition, a cooking class was held on the same floor on February 18 (Sat). The instructor was Ms. Mayumi Nakashi, a professional vegetable sommelier, who prepared a delicious menu using "Nagato Ingredient Set with Tasan Shima's Recipes", a gift from Nagato City in return for tax payment.

Among the completed menu, the Choshu chicken thigh was especially popular. The guests enjoyed the deliciousness of Nagato's ingredients.

The "Yamaguchi Prefecture Nagato City Fair" will be held until February 21 (Tue.). We look forward to seeing you all in Fukuoka.
