Nagato Yumoto Onsen “Utsuwa no Aki vol.3 – Night Talk Vessels” is now being held (until 9/26).

Autumn Event to Enjoy Hagiyaki Culture in Onsen Town

From today (Friday, September 16) to Monday, September 26, an event titled "Utsuwa no aki vol. 3: Night Talk Vessels" is being held in Nagato Yumoto hot spring resort (until Monday, September 26).

The "Autumn of Utsuwa" event will be held at three stores in the hot spring resort area, where visitors can view and purchase works by Hagi ware artists from the Fukagawa kiln.

Today, the first day of the event, a commemorative ceremony was held at Onyu, the first venue.

The ceremony was attended by the Hagiyaki Fukagawa Kiln Promotion Council and Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring Town Corporation, which hosted the event, as well as the mayor of Nagato City and other guests.

Mr. Sadatsugu Shinjo (Shinsho-Sukeemon Kiln), who greeted the audience as a representative of Fukagawa Kiln artists.

Mr. Takao Tahara (Tahara To Tohei Kiln) explained the planning of the event.

At the end of the ceremony, a commemorative photo was taken at Onyu Square, the entrance to the hot spring resort.

In addition to the "Autumn of Utsuwa vol.3," there will be collaborative projects with various stores in the hot spring resort area.
