First open garden in two years

An open garden will be held at " Satoyama Rose " in the Tawarayama district of Nagato City from Friday, May 21 to Friday, June 4.

This is a rose garden started by a couple about 15 years ago with the purpose of managing their family's garden, abandoned farmland, and surrounding forests in an effort to revitalize a devastated satoyama.

This will be the first time the event has been held in two years, as it was postponed last year due to the prevention of the spread of new coronavirus infection.

Although the space is open to the public, we ask that visitors wear masks and take other infection control measures.

Various types of plants, including roses, are planted.

Why not take this opportunity to visit for the healing power of flowers, plants, etc.?
