Notice of “Daneiji River Song Light” (2/8-2/17)

Visualizing a gentle and pure world

For 10 days from February 8 (Sat.) to 17 (Mon.), "Utaakari" will be held to enjoy winter in Nagato Yumoto Onsen.

First held last winter, this year's event is the second. This is an event in which the riverside is decorated with lights inspired by the poem by Misuzu Kaneko, a children's song poet from Senzaki, Nagato City.

This year's event will be held not on the Onshin River, which runs north-south through the hot spring resort, but on the Daneiji River, which leads to Daneiji Temple.

During the festival, lights will be lit from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Food stalls will be open only on Saturday, February 8 and Saturday, February 15.

This is a quiet winter event where one can contemplate the world of "poetry" while viewing the lighted scenery.
