The cycling event "Nagato Blue Ocean Ride mini" will be held on Saturday, March 21.
We are pleased to announce that Hirotomo Shimizu, Shunsuke Miyamoto, and Shohei Yasumoto from the Yamaguchi Branch of the Japan Bicycle Racing Association will be our guests for the event.
The Japan Cycling Athletes Association is a professional athletes' organization with the largest number of members in Japan. As professional cyclists, we are actively involved in bicycle promotion activities, such as holding bicycle riding classes throughout Japan and assisting in bicycle-related events, in order to promote the fascination of bicycles to as many people as possible and to help them enjoy cycling safely.
Yuyu Shimizu won the G1 Yomiuri Shimbun Cup "All-Japan Selected Bicycle Race" on February 11, 2012.
Guests will participate in the tournament and the social event the day before the event. We hope that everyone who attends will also enjoy the social exchange through the event, making the day even more memorable for everyone.
After graduating from Seiei High School Cycling Club, he made his bicycle racing debut in 2014.
He has been a member of the national team with brilliant results since his high school days, and is currently one of only nine S-class S-team riders in the world of bicycle racing, where there are said to be 2,200 riders. He won the G1 35th Yomiuri Shimbun Cup "All Japan Selected Bicycle Race" held in February this year.
He began cycling after entering Hofu Shoko High School, and after graduating from the Chuo University Cycling Club, he entered bicycle racing.
His father and grandmother were both bicycle racers, and he used to come to Nagato City every two weeks to run in high school. after a perfect win in his debut in 2018, he went on to win three consecutive all-first places in six months, moving up to S class with exceptional speed. in 2019, he will participate in many special bicycle races. he will be a member of the S class in the next few years.
After graduating from Seiei High School Cycling Club, he joined the Cycling Club of Kanoya University of Health and Sport Sciences.
First place in the 2013 Tandem Sprint Intercollegiate.
After graduation, he made his bicycle racing debut in July 2018 and won his first race in August of the same year. He is a friend and training companion of this competition's guests, Shimizu and Miyamoto.
