How to capture the warmth of the image

The " #Nagato ni Monogatari wo " ( Let's tell a story in Nagato ) started posting on the official Instagram last December.

We are pleased to announce that a photograph taken as part of this project has won a prize in the "How to Capture Warmth" category of the " 2nd Photography Technique Contest.

Judges' Comments

When I saw this photo, I loved the warmth, soft light and airiness that spread through my mind, and it made me realize that the idea of seasons and time is behind it.

Photo recipes are not only about photographic techniques, but also about the idea of the story you want to put into your photos, and I hope that this will be helpful to everyone.

Contest Outline

  • Held at fotomoti, a photography community service operated by Canon
  • In collaboration with CURBON, one of the largest photo learning sites in Japan, three CURBON certified instructors with a large number of followers on SNS will serve as judges.
  • The three categories were "How to capture a scene from a movie," "How to capture a warm feeling," and "How to capture a portrait with scenery," and "Photo Recipes" were sought to match each theme.

The photo selected for this issue is one from episode 6, "Hikari's Alpha and Beta".

It was taken near the Nagato Yumoto Onsen IC and Fukagawa River during the beautiful western sunlight.

The "#Nagato ni Monogatari wo" is all about shooting on film.

Notice the unfamiliar textures, hues, and softness of light.

Now posting "#Nagato ni Monogatari" (Let's tell a story in #Nagato)
