Let's all become a conductor on the Bakumatsu ISHIN-go! Held!
Saturday, June 25, 2016 (Heisei 28) An event was held for children to experience conductor announcing aboard the JR Mine Line's "Bakumatsu ISHIN" temporary rapid train, which began running on March 19 this year! When the children gathered at Mine Station at 10:00 a.m., they were presented with local sweets from Sanyo Onoda City, Mine City, and Nagato City in Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the JR Mine Line runs!

(Mine City) Mine City in Yamaguchi Prefecture is home to the Atsuho chestnut, a large, sweet brand of chestnut. Finally, the Bakumatsu ISHIN issue is on its way! 
We quickly boarded the train! Then, Maron-chan and Maron-tai waved us off. 
Unlike usual, the inside of the Bakumatsu ISHIN was decorated with balloons, creating a very cute space! 
Unlike the roads you drive on, you can enjoy scenery that you would not normally see. The children were fascinated by the natural scenery. 
A short while after the Bakumatsu ISHIN-go began to run, children began to experience the conductor announcing! The staff dressed the children in conductor's costumes and hats, and gave them a lecture on announcing. 
The child conductor starts to make announcements! He makes announcements in a cute, bashful voice. 
It suits you very well, doesn't it? Passengers cheered "Cool!" and "Cute! Cute balloons were given to the children who served as conductors! 
On the way, we say goodbye to "Kobutsu-chan" at Ofuku Station! 
Then, via Nagato Yumoto Station, the train arrives at Nagato City Station!

The line was opened by Sanyo Railway in 1905 to transport coal, and in 1924 it opened from Asa Station to Nagato City Station, where it flourished as a freight train line. Although freight trains have since been discontinued, the line is still designated as a trunk line, and is still active in providing transportation for citizens and travelers. The Mine Line trains are powered by diesel engines, and you can enjoy the distinctive sound of the engines, which make a rattling noise. The station platform is low and the floor of the car is slightly raised, and it goes up a step, which folds open and closes like a bus door. Except for Asa Station, all lines are managed by the "Nagato Railway Department. From the train windows, you can enjoy retro tunnels, beautiful nature, and rural scenery.
