Good morning. This is Miyamoto of the Nagato City Tourism Division, reporting on the morning of April 16 at the Tawarayama Shakunage-en. Although the flowers are just a little short of being in full bloom, the number of visitors who come to enjoy the rhododendrons is increasing day by day. The local women's club has started serving hot water tea (for a fee) at their tent. The best time to view the flowers is from April 20 to the end of Golden Week, as usual. This is the largest of its kind in the prefecture! Please come and enjoy the magnificent blooming of more than 30,000 rhododendrons of about 170 varieties throughout the park!
