Once upon a time, in this region called Dori (Kayoi),
old-fashioned whaling
was once upon a time practiced in this area called Kayoi. There are graves where the whales are buried, and memorial services are still held every year! Some people came here by bicycle! 
This year, the event was held in very strong winds, and yet the crowd is still here! The cars are all white with the tide to get here...!

Unlike most festivals, this one brought together many delicious foods from Nagato, including seafood and meat! Oysters from Qinghai Island

were put into the pool!

The children grabbed them all at once! Parents cheered enthusiastically, "Crawl on the brown bottom and get it! (Laughs). Especially the bullheads were so alive and moving so quickly that it was a hard struggle to catch them! 
The festival was a great success and a lot of fun!
