We are pleased to announce that the Monthly Awards for January have been selected.

The scene of fishing boats leaving port against the morning sun is fantastically captured. The morning mist unifies the color tones to create a beautiful scene. The rich nature of Nagato City can be felt in this photograph.
The "Nagato City Tourism Photo Contest - Nagato Original Scenery" is open to any theme, as long as the material can best convey the charm of Nagato City as a tourist destination (Nagato, a city that plays on the Japanese spirit of "Kindness"), including natural scenery, traditional culture, events, and food in Nagato City. Entries are open to anyone residing in Japan who can responsibly submit an original work that does not infringe on the rights or privacy of others. From each month's entries, one or so will be selected as the Monthly Prize winner, and finally, one Grand Prix winner will be selected from the Monthly Prize winners. The winner of the Monthly Prize will receive a local specialty (5,000 yen), and the winner of the Grand Prix will receive a cash prize of 50,000 yen and a hotel stay at Nagato Yumoto Onsen as an extra prize. ■Example of Monthly Prize Local Products
