Hello, this is Yamauchi from the Tourism & Convention Association of Japan, and I would like to inform you that the Mine Line and San-in Main Line (between Asa Station and Nagato City Station and Higashi Hagi Station) will be open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from March 28 (Sat) through June 28 (Sun).

Temporary rapid train "Bakumatsu ISHIN" will be in service.

7107929a3e9bcf0fcfc7b97aabfa75ab-453x640This temporary rapid train will provide even better access to Hagi City, which is thriving due to the Taiga Drama, as well as Nagato City, Mine City, and Sanyo-Onoda City. The train is said to be wrapped in the image of the historical drama "Hanamayu. What kind of design is it? You will have to wait until the train is in operation to find out. On March 28 (Sat.), the first day of operation, a departure ceremony will be held at JR Asasa Station, the departure station. After the ceremony, passengers who board the "Bakumatsu ISHIN" will receive a commemorative glass pass made at a glass studio in Sanyo-Onoda City. A commemorative glass certificate is gorgeous and stylish! It would be nice to display it in your room to commemorate the event. In addition, there will be many other hospitality activities at stations along the line, such as welcoming visitors and giving out souvenirs. We are sure that not only railroad fans but also everyone will enjoy this event! Please come and visit us, and maybe a surprise guest will even come!
