Notice of Recruitment of Participants We are recruiting participants for the 23rd Wanpaku Sumo Nagato Tournament and the 4th Nagato Women's Ass Sumo Tournament in Fukagawa Minato Genki Matsuri.

Subject of application

Nagato Sumo Tournament

1st-6th graders (boys and girls) of elementary school in Nagato, Hagi and Mine cities

(Winners of the 4, 5 and 6 year boys division will qualify for the national competition.)

Nagato Women's Ass Sumo Tournament

Groups of three persons per team (or two persons per team) of junior high school age or older women.

Method of competition

Individual Competition by Grade (Men's Division and Women's Division)

Men's team awarded up to 3rd place in each grade

attire

For boys and girls in grades 1-3, a horizontal belt must be worn over short pants and spats. For the boys' division for grades 4-6, a mawashi must be worn over shorts and spats. If you do not have a mawashi or yokobi, please wear the mawashi and yokobi provided by the organizer.

Other

The competition time is subject to change depending on the number of participants. Please be sure to keep the registration time. (Even if you have registered in advance, please register on the day of the event.) Please be sure to arrive at the designated time for registration on the day of the event. All contestants will be insured by the organizer for one day on the day of the event. Parking will be available in the parking lot near the Yamaguchi Prefecture Fisheries Cooperative Association Minato Branch.
