Cycling through the world of Misuzu Kaneko's poetry while viewing the cobalt blue Sea of Japan!

In Senzaki, Nagato City, the birthplace of Misuzu Kaneko, a town where the world of Misuzu Kaneko's poetry can be enjoyed through art is being created! Mosaic art using fish cake boards, a specialty of Senzaki, is scattered throughout the town, and there are many places where Misuzu's poems were set. This is a satisfying cycling course for beginners, where you can enjoy the world of Misuzu Kaneko, full of tenderness, and of course, enjoy delicious seafood and cafes!

 2. Refreshing coast
Refreshing CoastAbout 4 minutes from Senzaki station, the coastline came into view! Quickly but slowly take a break while taking some relaxing pictures.... Enjoying the beautiful cobalt blue Sea of Japan! Sometimes you can even see a sightseeing boat speeding by!
 3. Misuzu Kaneko mosaic "Project M2000", Cafe Struggle
Misuzu Kaneko mosaic One of Misuzu Kaneko's mosaic paintings using a board of the famous "Senzaki Kamaboko" fish cake.  4. Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum
Kaneko Misuzu Memorial MuseumThe "Misuzu Kaneko Memorial Museum" was recreated on the site where her birthplace once stood. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of a bookstore of that time and Japanese life in the Showa period, and enjoy the world of her poetry through light and sound!   5. Misuzu Kaneko mosaic "Project M2005
Matsuura Shoten and Misuzu Kaneko mosaic A famous local dried fish store! The famous lady who makes dried fish out of anything. Fugu chazuke" and "fugu mirinboshi" are recommended as souvenirs! Next to the store's name is a mosaic of Misuzu Kaneko.
 6. Senzaki Yasaka Shrine
Yasaka ShrineThis shrine was the setting for a poem by Misuzu Kaneko. The poem "Gionsha" was read here. The Senzaki Gion Festival, which has continued since Misuzu's lifetime, features small dancers dancing and floats parading in the streets. Senzaki Gion Festival: July 26
