Announcement of the start of crowdfunding for “National Yakitori & Rinpik in Nagato

Support the 12th National Yakitorinpic in Nagato!

Nagato City, known as one of the "7 major yakitori towns" in Japan with the highest number of yakitori restaurants per 10,000 people, will hold the "12th National Yakitori Olympics in Nagato" on September 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), a gourmet event where famous local yakitori restaurants from all over Japan will gather. This is the third time the event has been held in Nagato, following the 3rd event in 2009 and the 8th event in 2014.

For the first time, the Yakitorinpic in Nagato Executive Committee, the organizer of the event, will use crowdfunding to raise part of the construction costs to set up the venue for the event, which attracts approximately 50,000 to 70,000 visitors every year. Depending on the amount of support, supporters will receive coupons, original T-shirts, stickers, and other items that can be used at the venue on the day of the event (referred to as "returns" to supporters).
