Damage from the Torrential Rainfall in July, 2008

We pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in the record-breaking torrential rains that hit western Japan in July, and extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the disaster.

We sincerely hope that everyone in the affected areas will be safe and that recovery and reconstruction will be completed as soon as possible.

Damage in Nagato City is relatively minor, and roads and facilities in various areas can be accessed and used without problems.
