Have you ever seen Dondoyaki, a winter festival? Dondoyaki is an event to burn New Year's decorations and calligraphy with wood and straw to pray for a good harvest and good health for the year. In Nagato City, however, Dondoyaki is held in each district from around this time until February. On January 17 (Sun.), Dondon-yaki will be held in the Ohihi district on Aomi Island.
