Bathing in the beautiful cobalt blue Sea of Japan!

Located on the Sea of Japan side, Nagato City in Yamaguchi Prefecture offers swimming in beautiful cobalt blue waters. The water clarity is high and the water quality is AA, which is good! The city is dotted with beaches of various characteristics. In this issue, we will introduce some of our recommended beaches.

No. 1 Niinohama Beach

Ninth Beach
The gradation of the white fine sand beach and the sea changing from emerald green to cobalt blue is very beautiful. The quality of the water is one of its special features. The site was selected as one of eight in Japan as a "good bathing beach in the The water clarity is excellent due in part to the fact that the water was once crystal clear. （After the bathing season ends, surfing is popular and marine sports can be enjoyed.

No. 2 Ohama Beach

Ohama Beach
It is a beautiful beach with white fine sand and cobalt blue color. The large rocks make a great playground and a great place to take pictures! There is also a surf store nearby, and surfers can be seen year-round outside of the bathing season.

No. 3 Qinghai Island Beach

The gravel beach prevents sand from rolling up, and boasts a stable high level of transparency. This beautiful beach has been selected as one of the "100 best beaches in Japan. You can also enjoy walking along the Qinghai Island Nature Study Path. It is also a diving spot, where you can see blue underwater caves in several places and enjoy the beautiful scenery that is out of this world.

No. 4 Tadano Beach

It is a beautiful cobalt blue beach with white sand and shallow waters. Located in the topography on the bay, the beach is relatively wave-free and is recommended for children. Located along the national highway, there is also a restaurant nearby.
