One of Misuzu Kaneko's mosaic paintings using a board of the famous "Senzaki Kamaboko" fish cake. When the lights are turned off, the poem comes to life with black light.

						Cafe Struggle
A lovely café with a retro feel, renovated from a former JA building. The coffee and crème brûlée are excellent, and "Misuzu Blend" coffee beans are recommended as souvenirs.

						Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum
A memorial hall recreated on the site where his birthplace once stood. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of a bookstore of the time and Japanese life in the Showa period, and enjoy the world of poetry through light and sound.

						Misuzu Kaneko mosaic "Project M2005
A famous local dried fish store! Next to the store's name is a mosaic of Misuzu Kaneko. Fugu chazuke" and "fugu mirinboshi" (dried fugu) made by a famous lady who makes dried fish out of anything are recommended as souvenirs!

						Senzaki Yasaka Shrine
The shrine was also the setting for a poem by Misuzu Kaneko, entitled "Gionsha. At the Senzaki Gion Festival, which has continued since the time when Misuzu was alive, floats are paraded through the streets, and small local maiko (apprentice geisha) can be seen dancing among them.

						Kaisen-don (rice bowl with fresh seafood) at Kiraku, the main restaurant of the live squid family
You can enjoy eating live squid as they are landed from a nearby fishing port (the amount of squid available depends on the fishing conditions). The popular "Senzaki squid marugoto donburi" allows you to enjoy both raw and fried squid at the same time.
