The Appeal of the Sightseeing Boat

The coastline of Omijima is lined with unique rock formations and sheer cliffs created by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan. By taking the sightseeing boat, you can enjoy the magnificent landscape woven by nature up close from the sea.

Furthermore, the boat travels along the northern coast of the island, approaching impressive spots one after another that cannot be seen from land, such as Kannon-dou, a massive sea cave, and "Zou-no-hana" (Elephant's Trunk), a rock arch resembling an elephant's trunk.

In particular, the experience of looking up at cliffs dozens of meters high from below is breathtaking. Accompanied by the guide's commentary, you will surely be moved by the natural beauty of Omijima.

Notes on Season and Weather

While the Omijima Sightseeing Boat allows you to enjoy natural landscapes up close, it is important to note that it is easily affected by the season and weather. Especially in winter or on days when the Sea of Japan is rough, cancellations or course changes may occur due to waves and wind. Even in summer, operating conditions can change during strong winds or high waves, so it is crucial to check the weather forecast and official announcements on the day of your visit.
