Guided tour “Senzaki Town Walk” every Saturday to visit the hometown of Misuzu Kaneko

This tour departs from Senza Kitchen, Roadside Station, and does not require reservations.

A free guided tour called "Senzaki Town Walk" is held every Saturday from 1:30 p.m. (no reservation required), starting from the Nagato City Tourist Information Center "YUKUTE" in the Senzaki district. This tour is led by the "Nagato Volunteer Guide Association" to Senzaki, the hometown of "Misuzu Kaneko," a children's song poet from Nagato City. You will walk through the "scenery of the heart" of Ms. Misuzu, who created the children's songs "Watashi to Kotori to Suzu to" (Me, a Little Bird, and a Bell) and "Tairyo (Big Fish)," while listening to her explanations.
(The departure point will be changed to "Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum" from April 2025.

START] Tourist Information Center YUKUTE → Yasaka Shrine

→ Honmachi Dori → Misuzu Street

→ Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum → JR Senzaki Station

→ Tourist Information Center YUKUTE [GOAL

*If you wish to enter the Misuzu Kaneko Memorial Museum, a separate admission fee (500 yen for adults, 200 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students) is required.
*Specified days and times are also available (reservation required and charged).

   

On the Misuzu Street, you will visit spots such as "Seto", "Henshoji Temple", "Gokurakuji Temple", "Misuzu Bronze Statue", "M20000 Mosaic Art", and other places that were read in the poem or are associated with the poem.

We hope you will feel the gaze of Misuzu in Senzaki, the town that nurtured the children's song poet, Misuzu Kaneko.
