Meet and greet "00 no hanashi" at JR Agawa Station and other locations

Today (Saturday, September 27, 2025), an event was held at Agawa Station on the JR San'in Line in Shimonoseki City to celebrate the restoration of the entire line. This event was held to commemorate the restoration of the entire San-in Line, which had been suspended in some sections (between Hitomaru Station and Takibe Station) due to the heavy rain disaster at the end of June 2023. Along with the ceremony, a sightseeing train "00 no hanashi" was entertained.

Ceremony

At the ceremony, Shintaro Maeda, Shimonoseki City Mayor, who serves as chairman of the JR San'in Line Usage Promotion Council, and Toshinori Iida, JR West Hiroshima Branch Manager, delivered remarks.

In addition, Nagato City Mayor Tatsuya Ehara handed a bouquet of flowers to JR Bus Chugoku/Yamaguchi Branch Manager Mikio Karaki, who operated the substitute bus during the suspension period.

Nozomi Kanetou, a TV personality, served as the master of ceremonies.

Sightseeing train "00 no hanashi" hospitality

The "00 no hanashi" hospitality event welcomed ceremony attendees and visitors to the event with a local brass band playing and flags falling. They welcomed all the passengers who got off the train.
