12/3 Update: JR Mine Line’s Substitute Buses to Begin Rapid Service (~Mar. 21)

The time required from Asa Station to Nagato City Station is reduced by up to 12 minutes!

The new bus stops and timetables have been added on December 1, 2024 (Sunday).

*There will be no change in the stop for the regular Mine Line substitute bus service.

Rapid service has been added to the JR Mine Line substitute bus service until Friday, March 21, 2025.
With this increase in service, the substitute buses will operate at an interval of once every 1 to 1.5 hours.
In addition, the connection with the Shinkansen at Asa Station will be smoother, and a system that allows users to check the current location of the bus with their smartphones has been introduced to make it easier to use the bus.
*The use of bus location information is scheduled to start on Monday, October 7.

Please take advantage of this system, as the ride time will be 12 minutes shorter than before for those coming to Nagato City by using the rapid service!

How to get on the train, etc.

No reservation required
・Bus stop: Same as conventional JR Mine Line substitute bus
・Fare: Same as JR Mine Line train fare
・Ticket: Purchase in advance at station ticket vending machines (when boarding from a station without a ticket vending machine, pay the fare in cash)
*Payment and currency exchange not allowed on board
*Transportation system IC cards not accepted
