Today (Sunday, March 17, 2024), a "Marine Traffic Safety Prayer Ceremony" was held at Aomi Island Kanko Kisen in the Senzaki district.
The ceremony is held every year to pray for the safety of passengers and the operation of the sightseeing boats that cruise around Qinghai Island during the year.
After the ritual was over, a parade of flag-draped tourist steamers took place at sea. Although the weather was unfortunate with a slight drizzle, the general public boarded the boats and enjoyed the cruise.
