Projects to revitalize and add value to tourist attractions and tourism industry

On Monday, March 20, 2023, an explanatory meeting will be held at Nagato City Hall for the city's tourism businesses regarding the "Revitalization and High-Value-Added Businesses of Tourist Attraction and Tourism Industry in the Community".

The Japan Tourism Agency has launched an open call for projects to support efforts to restore and strengthen the "earning power" of regions and industries, and Nagato City is planning to apply to candidate areas to promote high value-added and round-trip tourism in the region.

If selected as a candidate area, the project will be able to utilize project support for the renovation of lodging facilities and tourist facilities (souvenir stores, restaurants, etc.).

We will be holding a briefing session for tourism businesses in the city as follows, and we invite all interested parties to attend.

Examples of eligible projects】
・Renovation of lodging facilities to add value
・Removal of abandoned buildings
・Renovation of tourist facilities (restaurants, souvenir stores, etc.)
・DXing of facilities (eligible businesses: a significant number of private businesses in the region, etc.)
・Demonstration experiments (eligible businesses: local governments, private businesses, etc.)
