Open garden with the scent of roses

On May 23 (㈪), we visited " Satoyama Rose, " which is open to the public for a limited time in the Tawarayama area of Nagato City.

This rose garden was started by a couple about 16 years ago to manage their family's garden, abandoned farmland, and surrounding forests in an effort to revitalize a devastated satoyama.

This year, the exhibition is open to the public for 14 days from Sunday, May 22 to Saturday, June 4.

The park is filled with roses of many colors and varieties.

The rose garden in the satoyama will make you feel very open in the clear air and fragrance of flowers.

Some of the flowers are in full bloom and some are still in bud, and if you visit several times during the period, you will be able to enjoy the growth of the roses.

Inside the garden, visitors will find rest areas surrounded by roses, tunnels, roses arranged in glass, and other tantalizing spots.

The couple carefully creates each "Satoyama Rose" not only for the viewing of the roses, but also for the enjoyment of the space itself.

Before visiting Satoyama Rose

Please visit the Satoyama Rose website.

The days leading up to the opening of this beautiful space are documented with photos. We think you will enjoy viewing this as well as the garden even more.

The "Satoyama Rose" is like stepping into a story.

When you visit, please take your time and relax while also enjoying the countryside scenery, the sound of birds, and other rich natural surroundings.
