Tawarayama International Exchange Event “The Africa Day in Neruyama” by the Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers (6/25)

Djembe workshops and Guinean food tasting will also be held.

On Saturday, June 25, "The Africa Day in Neruyama," an international exchange event, will be held at the Neruyama guesthouse in Tawarayama, Nagato City. This is the second event planned by Yu Iwata, a member of the Nagato City Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers (in charge of the Tawarayama Hot Springs Revitalization Project), following "The Africa Fest" held in December last year. This time, Sek Keita, a djembe (*1) player from Guinea, West Africa, will be invited as a lecturer for a "Djembe Workshop & African Exchange Party. At the venue, there will be a tasting of Guinean "li gula" (*2) and African goods will be on sale.
