Higashi Gobata Terraced Paddy Fields " in the Aburaya district of Nagato City has been selected as one of the "100 Best Terraced Paddy Fields in Japan.
Many photographers visit this spot every year during the season from late May to early June to see the setting sun of the Sea of Japan and countless glowing fishing fires at the same time.
This page will provide updates on the Higashi Gobata terraces in 2021.

Comments: the rice has grown so much that you can no longer see the surface of the water. From now on, only fishing fires will be visible.

[Comment] I waited a while to take this picture of the fishing fire. The first light was fantastic...I felt full of excitement as I added one more light at a time.

The parking lot is located on the west side of the viewpoint, about 200 meters walk to the photo shoot.
The viewpoint is marked by a pavilion.
