Feel like traveling in France

The exhibition "The France of Yasuo Kagetsu" (7/21-10/11) is currently being held at the Yasuo Kagetsu Museum of Art in the Misumi district of Nagato City.

This exhibition features sketches and oil paintings of "France" painted during Yasuo Kagetsu's first visit to Europe and his last visit to a foreign country, "France.

This is the first time in about 10 years that sketches painted in Europe have been shown to the public. Visitors will be able to see colorful French landscapes.

As you progress through the exhibition, you will feel as if you are on a trip to France yourself, as you see the scenery that Yasuo Kagetsu found as he traveled around France, as well as scenes that were probably painted from the Raspail Hotel, which was his base of operations during his travels.

In the "Atelier," the last area of the exhibition space, the viewing area was renovated last month from a "small window in the door" to a "whole door" with all-glass windows, allowing visitors to step inside the Atelier.

This exhibition will run until October 11, 2021 (Monday, national holiday). Please take this opportunity to visit "France" as traveled by Yasuo Kozuki.

Exhibition "110th Anniversary of Yasuo Kouzuki's Birth" is now being held.

To commemorate the 110th anniversary of his birth on Monday, October 25, 2021, a large-scale exhibition is being held nationwide, featuring approximately 150 works, including all 57 pieces of his masterpiece "Siberian Series.

The Yasuo Kagetsu Museum of Art will exhibit mainly works from the 1930s to 1950s, including Yasuo Kagetsu's debut work, "Sanin Landscape with Snowfall. Please come and see them at a venue near you.
