Local High School Students Develop Food Loss Prevention Burger

Yesterday (March 21, 2022 [Monday]), at Senza Kitchen, a roadside station, students from the English club of Otsu Ryokuyo High School, a local high school, developed the "Marutto! Bejimori Burger" developed by students of the English Club of Otsu Ryokuyo High School, a local high school.

The hamburger is characterized by the use of the "skin" of vegetables (carrots, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, etc.) picked in the region. The high school students' wish is to contribute to the SDGs by eliminating the preconceived notion of "throwing away" ingredients that would normally be thrown away because we don't eat them. This is the wish of the high school students.

Japanese/English recipe included

Senza Kitchen, a roadside station where sales took place

Tofu and hijiki were used for the hamburger steak, making it light and easy to eat.

The sales that day were limited to 50 units, but were so successful that they sold out within the morning! Please support the efforts of local students at future sales events.
