Notice of Recruitment of Participants for “Sightseeing English Conversation Class in Nagato Yumoto Onsen” (until 6/19)

Learn the basics of hospitality using English

The "Council for the Promotion of Inviting Visitors to World Conventions, etc." organized by Nagato City and the Nagato City Tourism and Convention Association will offer English conversation classes useful for tourism businesses in order to prepare a system for accepting future inbound tourists.

The first event will be held a total of 12 times over a 3-month period, targeting tourism businesses in the "Nagato Yumoto Onsen" area, which is attracting increasing attention following its renewal in the spring. In the future, we will consider holding these events in other areas and at other times, taking into account the opinions of participants.

Ms. Filichagina Lilya.

Born in Sochi, Krasnodar region, Russian Federation, he first came to Japan in 2017, studied at Yamaguchi Prefectural University in 2018, worked at an English conversation school in Yamaguchi City from 2019, and has been working as an international exchange promotion officer for Nagato City Regional Development Cooperation Corps since October of the same year.

Course Content

The lessons will be based on various situations and will include conversation with foreign travelers using English.

1. Greetings and introduction of tourist attractions and transportation access in the city
2. How to communicate menus and prices in restaurants and stores
3. How to make reservations by phone or email
4. Introduction to hotel facilities, receptionist, etc.

[Location] Nagato Yumoto Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association, 2nd Floor Conference Room
[Fee] Free
[Capacity] Maximum 15 people (first-come, first-served; applications close when capacity is reached)
[Target] Ryokan, hotel, restaurant and store staff in Nagato Yumoto Onsen Staff and others involved in tourism business
