On December 20 (Fri.), the final program of the "Nagato Tourism Concierge Training Course," the "Hospitality Training" started at Nagato City Hall. The training lasted four days, with the first session held on Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21, with approximately 30 participants.
On Friday the 20th, 8 people attended.
About 20 people attended on Saturday the 21st.
Ms. Kumiko Meshiro, who has 21 years of experience as an ANA cabin attendant and chief purser on domestic and international flights, is currently teaching training courses on business manners and hospitality in various locations.
Unlike the summer program in which participants deepened their knowledge by touring around Nagato City, the winter program was planned as an opportunity to learn and master ANA's style of hospitality. The theme of this year's program was "from the customer's point of view" and focused on first impressions, which are said to be determined in "15 seconds.
During the four-hour course, participants worked in pairs to practice such skills as smile training, grooming, conversation, and business card exchange manners. In a friendly atmosphere from start to finish, the participants honed their facial expressions and behavior to greet customers in a pleasant manner.
The hospitality training will continue until late January next year, and students who complete the program will be certified as "Nagato Tourism Concierges" for the first term.
