changing color hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla)

Although May and June are unusually rainless, the hydrangea season has arrived.

This year again, we would like to inform you of the status of color change at the famous hydrangea temple " Koutokuji".

Thursday, June 13

It did not rain much, but it was a good time to see them again this year. The hydrangea on the far right as you enter the temple grounds is very healthy and beautiful. It will be crowded with many tourists this weekend.

Thursday, June 6

The beginning of the changing colors this year varies even within the precincts of the temple. Overall, about 30% of the flowers are at their best. However, the hydrangeas are not vigorous because of the lack of rain. We hope that the rain this weekend will bring them back to life.
