Nagato Tourism Concierge” 1st term training course, accepting students (until 5/31)

Learn Nagato, improve your Nagato hospitality

The Nagato City Tourism & Convention Association is recruiting participants for the "Nagato Tourism Concierge" training course, which will equip participants with "hospitality" skills like concierges at hotels and department stores, who serve customers in a flexible manner in response to their requests.

The program consists of two courses: the "Basic Course," in which participants learn about Nagato City's tourism resources and culture and take an examination, and the "Hospitality Course," in which participants hone their practical skills and hospitality skills. Participants begin with the "Basic Course," which focuses on on-site training, and then move on to the "Hospitality Course" after passing the certification examination. Why don't you learn about Nagato and polish your hospitality skills that you can apply at your own store or office?

Course Schedule and Fees

• June - August 2019 Basic Course [4 days]
  "NAGATO Tourism and Culture Seminar (2,000 yen)/NAGATO Tourism and Culture Exam (free)"
• December 2019 - January 2020 Hospitality Course
  "Practical Exercise Workshop (free)/Hospitality Training (10,000 yen)"
  *The Hospitality Course is only available to those who have passed the Nagato Tourism and Culture Certification

Day 1] Saturday, June 15, 8:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Opening Ceremony (Daneiji Temple)
• Daneiji Temple and Ouchi Shift (Daneiji Temple)
• Transition and Future of Hagi Ware Fukagawa Kiln (Tahara Tohei Kiln)
• Medieval castle (mountain castle)/Salt production in ancient Aburaya Bay (Hioki Health Center)
• Yanggui and Tangdokou (Erson-in Temple - Tangdokou)

Day 2] Saturday, June 29, 8:50 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

• The culture of Dori, a fishing town born from coexistence with whales (Whale Museum, Dori Town Walk)
• Senzaki, where Misuzu Kaneko's sensibility was nurtured (Kaneko Misuzu Memorial Museum)
• History and Tradition of Senzaki (Senzaki Station)

Day 3] Saturday, July 13, 8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

• Rare value of Cheonghae Island, "a museum above and an aquarium below."
  (Cheonghae Island Tourist Steamship - Landing on Cheonghae Island from Shijinpo - Cheonghae Island Nature Study Path)
• Great people produced by Misumi, the driving force of the Meiji Restoration (Seifu Murata Memorial Museum and Yasuo Kozuki Museum of Art)
