2019 First Sunrise Climbing” (1/1)

Watch the first sunrise in the high mountains of Qinghai Island!

On January 1, 2019 (New Year's Day), we will hold the "New Year's Day Sunrise Climbing" at the top of Mt. Let's pray for sunrise together from the summit of 319m above sea level.

Takayama has been selected as one of the " 100 Shimayama (Island Mountains)," a list of attractive mountains located on islands throughout Japan, and is currently attracting much attention. From the summit, you can see Fukagawa Bay and " Nami no Hashidate " to the southwest, and the " Maritime Alps " with its sheer cliffs and many oddly-shaped rocks towering over the sea to the east, making it a superb spot to enjoy the magnificent nature created by the Japan Sea.

Date & Time] January 1, 2019 (New Year's Day) 6:00-8:30 a.m. (sunrise around 7:20 a.m.)
[Location] Takayama Auto Campsite (733-7 Senzaki, Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture)
*Please park in the campsite parking lot if coming by car
[Contents] Meet at 5:50 a.m. and climb from the campground to the top of Takayama (about 40 minutes) and watch the first sunrise of the year
【Participation Fee】 Free
〇 One cup of ozoni + one bottle of tea will be sold at the campsite for 300 yen (for 100 people, ends when all gone)
【Preparations】 Flashlight, warm clothes, sports shoes/boots, hat, gloves
【Notes】Cancelled if it rains
