The Murata Seifu Memorial Hall will renew its facilities to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration.

The exhibition will be renovated to provide a more detailed look at the lives and achievements of Murata Seifu and Shufu Masanosuke, who played a central role in reforming the local government amid the turbulent political climate at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

The library will be closed for the following period due to the renewal.
The museum will be open from

<Exhibit 1 >The exhibits are now arranged chronologically, with more detailed explanatory text, and the explanatory panels have been changed to be more consistent and have a cleaner, cleaner look.

<Exhibition Room 2 >Some exhibits have been removed to focus specifically on Seifu Murata and Masanosuke Shufu and their activities. The contents of the exhibit have been made to be imaginable just by looking at the titles, and explanatory text has been created for three levels of visitors, from elementary school students to those with an interest in the subject.
