Nagato Yumoto Onsen

Nagato Yumoto Onsen

Nagato Yumoto Hot Spring" is known as a hot spring that was discovered approximately 600 years ago (Muromachi Period) by a message from Sumiyoshi-daimyojin, the god of hot springs. The town's atmosphere of a quiet hot spring resort is set on both banks of the Onshin River, which flows through the center of the hot spring resort, with the murmuring of the river.

Tawarayama Onsen

Tawarayama Onsen

Tawarayama Onsen, a hidden hot spring deep in the mountains, is said to have been discovered by a white monkey, an incarnation of Yakushi Nyorai, and has long been known as a therapeutic hot spring resort with high efficacy. The area is lined with Showa-era retro wooden ryokan (Japanese-style inns) and retains a strong sense of traditional out-spa culture. Containing highly concentrated hydrogen, it is said to be effective for rheumatism and anti-aging.

Aburataniwan Onsen, an open-air hot spring with a superb view, offers a beautiful view of Aburataniwan Bay from a hilltop, which is dyed by the sunrise and sunset, changing its expression daily, and the lukewarm water is said to be effective for beautiful skin. Nearby are "Motonosumi Shrine" and "Sennojijiki," both famous for their spectacular views, making the area a treasure trove of nature.
