As of June 24, 2016, the hydrangeas at Koutokuji Temple are a little past full bloom, but they are still beautiful! Unfortunately, it was raining on the day of the photo shoot, but it was also very beautiful and the flowers looked lively and beautiful. There are many varieties of hydrangeas, and the petals of various shapes are very beautiful. Please go and see them! The main deity is Shakyamuni Buddha. Originally called Mukotsu-an, the temple was renamed Mukotoku-an after the merger with Kaitoku-ji in 1903, and was renamed Mukotoku-ji in the Showa period (1926-1989).The temple is also known as "Hydrangea Temple," and is famous for its hydrangeas.
