Aomi Island in Yamaguchi Prefecture's Kita-Nagato Coast National Park is one of the best diving spots in Japan. The attraction of this island is that you can enter the sea directly from the beach, making it safe and enjoyable even for beginners. This beach is a gravel beach, which prevents sand from rolling up, and boasts a stable high level of transparency. Although it faces the Sea of Japan, the topography is bay-shaped, and the shallow waters and relatively gentle currents make it easy to dive. Blue underwater caves can be seen in several places, and the scenery is out of this world beautiful. The upcoming season is a good time to dive, so why not give it a try?
