Rent a Bicycle and Go! Spring Course

We will introduce you to the following ↓This time, we will go sightseeing in Nagato to enjoy spring to the fullest by using bicycles that can be rented at the Tourist Information Center located at JR Senzaki Station. By the way, JR Senzaki Station Tourist Information Center offers free baggage storage upon presentation of a JR ticket, so JR users can enjoy sightseeing without any baggage. ↓↓↓↓

Rent a bicycle at JR Senzaki Station

As a general rule, the applicant must be a high school student or older. However, they must be able to use the bicycle without any safety hazards.

9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. *Loans are accepted until 3:30 p.m.
guarantee fee
A guarantee fee of 1,000 yen is required at the time of application for use, in addition to the rental fee, but will be fully refunded upon return. To use the room, you must fill out an application form at the Senzaki Station Tourist Information Center.

Isuzu Park

5df395451fe6a658c06bb3c66a09354bMisuzu Park is a road park built at the entrance to the Shirokata Tunnel in the middle of the "Chikamatsu-Misuzu Road" connecting Aomi Island and Yumoto. Trees and grasses mentioned in Misuzu's nursery rhymes have been planted in the park, and there are also six poem monuments. From the "hilltop observatory" at the top of the hill, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Senzaki townscape. Seifu Murata Memorial Hall

Memorial Hall for Seifu Murata, who laid the foundation for the Meiji RestorationIMG_9100Visitors can learn about the achievements and personalities of Murata Seifu and Shufu Masanosuke, two local forerunners who played a central role in reforming the clan government in the turbulent political climate at the end of the Edo period, through their artifacts and other materials. The museum also exhibits ethnic materials, allowing visitors to learn about the history and culture of their hometown.

Misumi Villa

Former residence of Seifu Murata near Seifu Murata Memorial Museum71928e02e2a9e482c3ef8e16f284ccf0Seifu lived in this old house for about 30 years, from his birth at the age of 19 until his retirement at the age of 63 and death at the age of 73. The main house is a gabled building with thatched roof, and has an entrance with a simple ceremonial platform and a side entrance with a dirt floor for family members. The entrance hall with a ceremonial platform leads to an antechamber and a tatami room for guests, which is characteristic of samurai residences. The house is designated as a national historic site along with the cemetery on Mt. There are Shibata-style rice hulls, a yuden, a stable, and a sanctuary. ↓ Rent a bicycle for about 20 minutes↓.

Yasuo Kozuki Museum of Art

The museum houses and exhibits the original drawings of the Siberian series, Yasuo Kagetsu's masterpiece, as well as drawings, toys, and other works that were carefully preserved by the Kagetsu family after his death. Qinghai Island Seaside Square

They may be able to introduce you to some good places! ↓Lastly, a word from Nagato's catgirl: The road from Senzaki Station to Misumi Yumen, where the Yasuo Kagetsu Museum of Art is located, is mostly flat, with few ups and downs, so it is an easy course to take even by bicycle.
