Hello, this is Yamauchi from the Tourism and Convention Association. Today's weather in Nagato City is fine and reminds us of spring. Speaking of spring,
cherry blossoms are the most popular
flower in the city. For those of you who are thinking of cherry blossom viewing or picnicking, I would like to introduce the
blooming status of major
cherry blossom viewing spots in Nagato City.
First is Daneiji Temple, one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Nagato City.

As you can see, the buds were still just about to open.
Next is the Tawarayama District's "Toufuri River Green Erosion Control Park.

These were also in bud and had not yet reached the stage of flowering.
Next is the Hachiman Hitomaru Shrine in the Aburaya district.

There were some branches with open flowers, but they were still only buds. I also felt that the number of buds was a little low, but I am sure we will be able to enjoy them when the flowers are in full bloom.
Next is the situation at the Goshobaru Grand Shrine in the Fukagawa area.

These are buds, too. Some are just about to open, but most are still buds.
Next stop is the Akasaki Shrine and theChikamatsu Garden of Creation in the Fukagawa area.

This one is still all buds, with only a few flowers open. The buds are swelling up more than in other places. I have the impression that the buds are swelling up more than in other places.
The next stop is also in the Fukagawa area, the Tsukimi River Park.

These are still buds as well. Some of the flowers are just beginning to open, but most of them are buds. When the flowers are in full bloom, the area is crowded with families with children and photographers, but it seems to be a little early yet.
Next is "Ojiyama Park" on Qinghai Island.

As I expected, there are only buds like this, and some of them are just beginning to open.
Next is the "Cherry Blossom Village on Cheokai Island," also on Cheokai Island.

The cherry blossom trees in Aomi Island, which were in full bloom last year, are still in bud. Some of the trees are in bloom, but not yet as a whole. Incidentally, when the cherry blossoms start blooming, the parking lot will be opened free of charge.
Finally, there is "Misuzu Park" in the Senzaki district.

The Yohko-zakura are in full bloom today.

Other trees such as Someiyoshino were still in bud. According to the weather forecast, it is going to get warmer all at once next week, so they will probably bloom more and more. We will keep you posted, so please check back!
