The "Irodori no Oka" in the park is planted with 18,000 red, white, and pink Kirishima azaleas, which are usually at their best in late April and attract many visitors until early May. The background of Irodori no Oka is a beautiful scene of azalea viewing. The propellers of the Hioki Wind Power Plant can be seen overlapping in the background of Irodori no Oka, making it an attractive spot for taking pictures.
