Scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, the Nagato Blue Ocean Ride is a cycling event that will allow participants to enjoy "spectacular scenery" and "food" in the beautiful cobalt blue Sea of Japan on the San'in side of Yamaguchi Prefecture, the spectacular viewpoint of the Higashi Gohata terraced rice fields, selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice fields, and the vast and beautiful karst road in Akiyoshidai. Entries will be accepted from 12:00 today, August 1 (Thu.).

The main course of this event is a "cycling course" of approximately 115 km, and there are also two types of "train courses": middle (approximately 83 km) and short (approximately 51 km), where participants can take a train back home with their bicycles. This course runs through spectacular scenery from the mountains to the sea, and can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced cyclists alike.

How to apply

Applications can be made online via "Sports Entry" or by postal transfer (first-come-first-served basis).

*If you wish to make a postal transfer, please contact the Nagato City Tourism & Convention Association (TEL 0837-27-0074) or visit Michi no Eki Senza Kitchen Tourist Information Center YUKUTE in person.
*Applications will not be accepted after the maximum number of participants has been reached. If payment is received after capacity has been reached, it will be refunded minus the cost of returning the money.
Prior membership registration (free of charge) is required to use Sports Entry.
*Participants are responsible for all fees and other costs associated with the application process.
*Changes or cancellations of events after entry has been completed are not allowed.
