Hospitality for Cyclists

The Nagato City Tourism & Convention Association has designated eight stores in the city as "Cycle Friend Shops " as places where cyclists can stop by and spend more quality time while touring around Nagato City.

Stores are equipped with racks, air pumps, wire locks, and a variety of other services, including assistance with refilling bottles at some locations.

At "Cafe bliss point by the sea" in the Tateishi district of Aburaya, Nagato City, handmade bike racks welcome cyclists. Air pumps and simple tools are also available.

The eight stores that became friend stores in the first phase were mainly casual cafes and bakeries.

Stamp Rally" held to visit friends' stores

In conjunction with the establishment of the Friend Shops, a new "Stamp Rally" will be held, in which visitors will be able to ride their bicycles around the stores and receive stamps when they eat or drink at any of the eight stores, with original goods and gift certificates that can be used at the Friend Shops given away according to the number of stamps received.

The gifts will be redeemed only at the tourist information center "YUKUTE" in Senza Kitchen, Roadside Station. For 2 stamps, you will receive a free rental bicycle ticket; for 3 stamps, you will receive an onsen no moto (small); and for 5 stamps, you will receive a Friend Shop gift certificate worth 1,000 yen.
